Hi, what is the performance like when running your labs? I read all sorts about putting the .net files and images on separate disk drives to improve performance.
Thanks in advance.

hmmm,
is it that the usb drive is different under both systems? or are both /mnt/sdb1
also keep both the gns3 and .net working dir on the usb
if u use the live cd and keep the workingdir in /root/Desktop/dynalive then i havent had any problems with that as of yet. but then if i need any contents i copy them over to the usb.
and dont worry there is not much of linux to learn when doing with dynaslax but a bit of moving around with the workingdir thats all , i have not yet tested all possible scenarios , but i will now as the new cd is done put up.

Well I almost pulled my hair out last night..lol. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Linux. Having said that I was hoping I would be able to use the thumb drive build while at work and then take it home and do the same thing. I had it working great at work with 9 routers. I brought it home and I got the "crashed" error in GNS3. I was able to get it working again by messing with the working directory but I put it back in the other PC this morning and im back to square one. Is the working directory just changed in the .net file or in GNS3 preferences or both? Would the live CD and a thumb drive for storage work out any better?

Thanks again,

hi marc gns3 actually works on the thumb drive, just copy the contents of the cd to your thum drive and go to the boot directory and then double click the bootinst.bat file which will make your thumb drive bootable.
just remember when using from your thumb drive or usb drive or your mp3 player just keep your working dir in the thumb drive or the usb drive or the mp3 player.
